How to Get Rid of BRAIN FOG – 3 Simple Fixes to Help Clear Your Mind

Do you suffer from BRAIN FOG???

You know the feeling.

Can’t focus.

Trouble remembering things.

Time slips away from you each day because you can’t seem to just focus up!

Maybe you’re tired, drowsy, and you know….

FOGGY.

It’s ok.

It happens to us all.

“YEAH, I know it happens to us all dude, but what’s the fix?”, you might be asking yourself.

And I’m glad you asked.

Because in this post I’m going to show you how to get rid of brain fog with 3 simple fixes.

First, What Causes Brain Fog?

The best way I like to look at the issue of brain fog is to take a look at the analogy of a plant and its health.

If you see a plant that is vibrant, healthy, and standing tall…..what do you think is the cause of that?

On the other hand, if you see a plant that is not so vibrant looking, maybe a bit droopy, and isn’t looking too good in the color department…..what do you think might be the cause of that situation?

Things like proper air, sunlight, nutrients, and water might come to mind.

Well, the same thing applies to us.

If we don’t tend to ourselves and our needs the way we would a plant, then just like a plant, we are going to feel:

  • tired
  • droopy
  • low energy
  • and not be so vibrant

So how should we fix this?

Maybe start treating ourselves like a plant and start by…..

(Fix 1) GIVING THAT PLANT SOME WATER!!!

Sounds simple enough right?

I mean, we all KNOW we’re supposed to be drinking plenty of water daily.

But how many of us are really getting enough water on a daily basis?

Health professionals like the folks at Mayo Clinic say we need about 3 liters of water a day.

So, if you’re feeling tired, droopy, and have some brain fog going on, just be honest with yourself.

Are you drinking enough water daily?

Are you getting at least 3 LITERS of water per day?

For me getting 3 liters of water a day was tough because I would constantly forget.

But I’d find myself drinking things like coffee, tea, soda, juice…..you know the drill.

I mean I’d drink water here and there, like maybe a bottle of water or a glass.

But I certainly wasn’t getting 3 LITERS a day.

Not to mention that coffee, sodas, and other drinks act as diuretics, causing my body to actually LOSE water.

Yeah.

Not so good.

No wonder I was feeling foggy and drained all the time.

I NEEDED WATER!!!

And I’ll be honest, I frankly don’t really like the taste of water, but I decided that I’d like to feel better and get rid of my brain fog while I was at it.

So I not only decided to start drinking 3 liters per day, I also decided to make my life a little easier and buy a water bottle that was 1 liter.

This way, all I had to do was to remember to fill it up and drink one bottle 3 times a day.

And you know what?

It worked!

Honestly, if you allow your body to just have 1 liter of water within a few minutes, you will be amazed at how much better you feel in that one moment.

But when you consistently give your body 3 liters throughout the day, you will be amazed at how much better you feel overall as the days roll on.

Your body is now getting what it needs that’s almost as important as AIR.

WATER!!!

Your organs can function better.

Your body can get rid of various toxins and so forth.

Heck, if you just drank plenty of water alone it would help with weight loss.

I actually like to give myself a bit of a boost with my water and for breakfast I’ll actually mix in some healthy protein powder, some green powder like wheat grass, and a bit of naturally flavored electrolyte powder to mix it all taste better, and I feel….

AMAZZINNNNGGG!!!

Seriously I can’t tell you how amazing I feel after drinking this first thing in the morning.

Then throughout the day I’ll add in greens and the electrolyte powder to give my body some greens and hydration at the same time.

I’m not lying to you when I tell you that I feel so good I actually smile more and laugh more.

I JUST FEEL BETTER.

It’s amazing how much you can get out of even just DRINKING healthy, isn’t it?

Ok so the first fix is to start drinking more water per day.

Preferably 3 liters per day at least.

Oh and by the way just doing this did indeed help in reducing my brain fog.

But let’s see what fix 2 is shall we?

(Fix 2) Cutting Back on Sugar

Look, I’ll be honest with you.

I love sugar.

I mean, I’m giving you this tip here, and I’m not even one of those people who’s been 100% sugar free for the last year or something.

I’m just a guy who has experimented with cutting back my sugar intake and even from that has noticed fantastic results.

The truth is, yeah.

Sugar is a huge problem for our health.

And it is also a HUGE reason we have issues with brain fog.

It messes with our blood sugar balance.

It messes with our overall body chemistry which effects the whole body, including our brain and our ability to focus.

And when I started cutting back I noticed an enormous difference in my mental experience of life.

What I mean by that is I noticed things like it was:

  • easier to focus in general
  • colors were a bit brighter
  • I could enjoy the present moment more
  • I was calmer and didn’t feel as much restlessness
  • my body just overall FELT better

And yes, my brain fog was DRAMATICALLY improved.

So now I’m NOT saying you have to stop eating sugar tomorrow.

And believe me, I know it’s in almost everything we eat these days.

But what I am saying is that if you have brain fog and you’d like to get rid of it, definitely start experimenting with cutting back on sugar in general.

When you’re cutting back on sugar AND your water intake is up to 3 liters per day at least, you’ll be AMAZED that you feel EVEN BETTER than when you were just drinking more water.

I know.

Who knew life could be so amazing if we just started listening to ourselves and our bodies and started giving ourselves what we need?

Now I know cutting back on sugar can be quite difficult, but believe it or not there is a way to make this process unbelievably EASY and PAINLESS.

Actually, this next and final fix is a large part of why so many of us have so many sugar cravings in the first place, and that is…..

(Fix 3) Candida!  And How to Get Rid of It

Have you heard of this pesky bugger before?

The awareness of what’s called Candida or more specifically, Candida Albicans (a specific strain of candida), and how it affects our whole body, our brain, mood, and overall quality of life has been spreading like wild fire in the health community.

In fact at this point I’d be surprised if you haven’t heard of it yet.

BUT, candida is a HUUUUGGGEEE problem and is actually in my opinion the number one cause of extreme brain fog and low energy in general.

So basically candida is a type of yeast that:

  • grows in your blood cells
  • grows in your intestines
  • thrives in acidic environments
  • and wreaks HAVOC on our bodies, energy levels, mind, mood, etc.

And guess what else?

IT FEEDS AND LIVES OFF OF SUGAR!!!!!

That’s right.

It’s a real life monster and it’s living in a huge portion of our population.

It might even be living within you as we speak.

Because let’s be honest.

For many people (and A LOT of Americans), our diets are HORRIBLE.

We already covered that we barely get enough water.

We barely eat enough fruits and vegetables.

And we eat A LOT of sugars, carbs, and acid forming foods like meat (not a vegan here, just saying a lot of meat can cause an imbalance), sodas, improperly combined foods, the list goes on.

Now normally the good bacteria in our gut can fight things like this off IF:

  • we are healthy and maintain a mostly alkaline body environment
  • we haven’t ever had prescription acne medications or antibiotics

I’m not saying you can’t use antibiotics or that you shouldn’t in the future.

BUT, they most definitely will WIPE OUT ALL bacteria in your intestines, the bad and the good, which is actually why they are called anti biotics (life).

And if you have taken antibiotics in the past, just having some yogurt when you’re done is not going to cut it.

You will need to radically and heavily repopulate the colony’s of good bacteria in your gut.

There are many on the market these days, but I actually recommend certain super probiotics that are specifically designed not just to repopulate your intestines with good bacteria, but also to directly eliminate candida from your system.

There are a number of brands out there, but I really recommend Threelac more than any other.
