Is God for real?
It’s definitely one of those questions that, well, pretty much everyone wants the answer to.
But is there a way to find out whether or not God IS real?
Is there a way people can know for sure?
The short answer, believe it or not, is yes.
Finding this for yourself however, is a whole other story.
God IS Real, But YOU Have to Find Him
The first thing that pops into someone’s head when they start thinking about God and what God is, is where is God?
If God is real, how come no one except a select few seem to have any ability to communicate with Him?
The truth is, God is actually OUTSIDE of time and space.
That’s the short and quick answer.
So that’s why it seems like God is nowhere to be found because basically God ISN’T here.
But what does THAT mean?
Outside of time and space?
So if God is timeless and eternal, then if you think about it, God CAN’T be in time and space.
And if we’re in time and space, then we won’t be able to see or experience God.
Does that make sense?
In other words if God is timeless, it just doesn’t mix with time.
It’s like oil and water.
BUT if God is timeless AND God is TRUE reality, that would mean that time and space are nothing more than an ILLUSION.
A better way to put it is that time and space is something of a dream.
It’s like if you’re dreaming at night, and your Mom and Dad aren’t there in the dream with you.
That doesn’t mean that your Mom and Dad aren’t real, and they may even be in the same house as you.
But you don’t perceive simply because you are ASLEEP.
So that’s pretty much what’s going on here.
We’re Dreaming Right Now
Yeah, that’s right.
We’re dreaming right now.
The lives we lead in time and space where everything seems separate and apart, where everything that has a beginning has an end….you know, where everything ultimately ENDS, is something of a dream.
You could call it a super dream.
Or the dream of the sons and daughters of God (although in truth we are all one).
But it’s no different than a dream.
We appear to wake up, do things, interact with people, and go to sleep at night and then wake up the next day with all the same people, places, and situations for the most part.
But we also know that sooner or later, everyone dies.
When people die, it’s kind of like waking up from one dream and going to another.
I know, trippy right?
In the east they refer to this cosmic dream as anica or maya.
In the modern world we could call something like this the matrix.
Well, it turns out it’s not just philosophy, it’s the way things really are.
Of course I don’t recommend, nor would I expect you to believe all this without testing it out for yourself.
If you want the truth bad enough it will come to you.
But sooner or later you will find this is the case.
To find God then, we’ve got to WAKE UP from this cosmic dream.
Unfortunately it’s not the easiest thing in the world to do, but it IS possible.
Not only is it possible, it is the ultimate destination of all beings.
This is why something like reincarnation is needed.
As eternal sons and daughters of God, we have in truth been afforded as many chances as we need to live as many lives as we need and ultimately to question this ‘reality’ and then to go back home to God.
The REAL light.
Finding God is What Spirituality, and Life in General, is Really all About
So how do we go about waking up from this cosmic dream, and why would we want to anyway?
Well first off, waking up from this dream of suffering and death and into eternal life light and love is what all religions and spiritual paths (for the most part) are really all about.
Moksha, nirvana, the promised land, the kingdom of heaven, etc……these are all descriptions of what happens when you wake up to the Light of God.
The resurrection is what happens when you completely wake up in the Light of God and transcend the body and ego personality altogether.
Only when this is reached will one get off the rounds of rebirth, or out of hell for those of you who don’t believe in reincarnation.
And this can only happen if YOU decide to take the journey and do the work.
Don’t be fooled.
This is not the easiest thing and the world and does require some commitment and effort on your part.
All religions and spiritual paths will ultimately lead to the goal, but some are a little slower and less direct than others.
The most important ingredient in all this is your DESIRE in your heart for the truth and to find God.
When you have that, and your heart is sincere, you will be led to where you need to be to reach the goal.
Now as far as WHY you’d want to find God, that’s another question.
After all, if we live in this world with men and women and sex, with all kinds of great food and fun experiences to be had, why would we want to find God?
Well, they say that God is like the best human experience you’ve ever had, the best sex you’ve ever had, and like the greatest love you’ve ever had, times a million bajillion quadrillion.
AND, unlike everything else in this world this perfect unbelievable experience LASTS FOREVER.
A perfect orgasm that lasts forever?
No wonder those angels are always singing those hymns.
So there’s THAT, AND the fact that when we DON’T seek and find God, we will have to keep coming back to human experiences of suffering over and over until we do.
Now sometimes you might have a good life here.
Sometimes you might even have a great life.
But you can also have a horrible life of abuse, neglect, disease, disaster…..the list goes on.
Finding God ends all that.
THAT’S why it’s worthwhile to find God.
Wrapping it Up
So, you got all that?
God IS real, but you have to find Him.
The reason we don’t seem to see Him (or Her) anywhere now is because God is OUTSIDE of the dream of time and space.
To find God we have to consciously choose to WAKE UP from the dream and follow a spiritual path to get there with a burning desire in our hearts to find Him.
And the reason we’d want to find Him in the first place is because God is like the best love you’ve ever had with someone, the best sex, the best human experience, times a billijillion million quadrillion.
AND this experience NEVER ends.
Now again, this does require a bit of effort and commitment on your part.
But from the description above, it sounds like it’s definitely worth a shot.
So there you have it.
What do you think about all this?
